Life: Five Things

If you really want to write a blog post, and have no clue what to write about, then I find writing about some of your favourite things or things you're doing is a good place to start.

For one, it's always good to give praise to the things you love. If only in the vain hope other people will see it, like it, the thing will become popular and then continue to grow. And if not, hopefully maybe just one person will take your recommendation, and then they too will become a crazy obsessive person about said thing.

So, without further ado, here are some things I've been loving recently.

Life: Five ways to cheer yourself up without food

I don’t know about you, but when I’m feeling a little bit down and glum, my go-to is to reach for the biscuit tin and gorge myself on delicious goodies.

Which, if I’m honest, does little for my mood but just feels like it should be the right solution....
(I’ve written a bit about emotional eating in this blog post FYI.)

So today, I thought I’d write a blog post that will serve as a reminder for me, and maybe possibly help you the next time you’re feeling glum and looking for food to be the answer.

Food: Easy Slow Cooker Enchiladas

What's this, a new blog post that's actually about food? It's been a while since one of these graced the old blog. But alas, this past weekend when I was doing my meal prep for the week (something I think is really important), I found a quick and easy way to make enchiladas and just had to share.

I know, I'm so good to you. You're welcome.

It kind of originated from this blog post, however, I've simplified it down, bunged it in the slow cooker for the most part and turned it into an easy to make a mid-week meal. (Or something to fill your freezer with).

Musings: How you know your head's in the weight loss game

You know those times when you're feeling all fired up and ready to totally kick weight loss butt and nothing can touch you, 'cause you my friend, you are pure health.

It's often felt when we first embark on a new plan, or after a bit of time off when you're feeling rubbish to turn things around or even when you look in the mirror, hate how you feel, and then decide enough is enough.

Many of us often call it Monday morning, but regardless, you know what I mean.

Musings: The pains of trying to lose weight when you work in an office

Sure, working in an office is not always on the top of everyone's list, but it's something many of us have to deal with. And whilst it's rarely all fun and games anyway (well, aside from the occasional day here and there) it can often feel 100x worse when you're trying to lose weight.
