If you're like me and trying to lose weight, or even just change something about yourself in general; you can often be met with a little resistance from people around you.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm very lucky in the sense I have people around me who support me and help me on my journey. However, I am aware that I'm very lucky, and this post is dedicated to those who don't have such supportive people around them.
- "Are your going to be able to keep it off though?"
- "One muffin won't kill you." (No, but the triggers it sets off may...)
- "You're still doing that then?"
- "God, you've gotten so boring since you've started dieting."
- "Oh come on, you've got to live a little."
- "Should you really be eating that?"
- "My [sister, brother, second cousin removed] lost all their weight by this diet, have you tried that?"
- "Aren't you ready to stop yet? You're looking a bit too skinny!"
- "Just eat the damn muffin already."
- "You're allowed to eat that?"
Yup heard it all. A year in a half later and they finally stopped commenting!
