Musings: Ten Winnie the Pooh quotes that can be used for weight loss

Winnie the Pooh Weight Loss Quotes

It is no secret that your home girl here has a thing for Winnie the Pooh, I mean have you read this post, seen my bedroom or looked at my side bar picture?

There is something about that little ball of fluff that makes my heart happy and so often when I'm watching it (yes I watch Winnie the Pooh at 23, problem?) I find myself wanting to put all the hands up emoji's with a yaassss Pooh bear!

Winnie the Pooh Weight Loss Quotes

So, as I'm finding it hard to think of something to write about that isn't 'OMG I'm struggling to lose weight and why I am so fat, omg look a biscuit' I thouhgt I'd indulge myself and write this little post.

No need to thank me guys!

1. I am short, fat and proud of that

I mean come on guys, if this little bear is an advocate for body positivity then I don't know who is.

2. "When you wake up in the morning, Pooh," said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?"
"What's for breakfast?" said Pooh. "What do you say, Piglet?"
"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully."It's the same thing," he said.

Pooh is totally aware that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and I bet if he had Twitter he'd be all over re-tweeting that 'sleep is a time machine to breakfast meme'.

3. "It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like 'what about lunch?'"

Yes, simple phrases that contain the involvement of food are the best ones. There is nothing better than having plans for the following meal time.

4. "You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think."

In weight loss (and life) you have to be willing to try new things and push yourself out of your comfort zone. You may not always see the results you get, but you gotta keep trying! Pooh bear believes in you, so why don't you.

5. "The things that make me different are the things that make me."

Stop comparing your journey to other people's. You can only do your best, and you never know what other people are doing. Focus on becoming the best version of yourself, rather than trying to be someone else.

6. "You can't stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes."

If you sit eating biscuits without working out and making allowances elsewhere you're going to stay fat. If you don't like something, change it!

7. "Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although eating honey was a very good think to do, there was a moment before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.

I think we all know that feeling. When you're sat in the office knowing you're going out to dinner that night to eat the most delicious food and you can't stop thinking about it. Right? Much like how Christmas Eve is almost better than Christmas Day.

8. "A bear, however hard he tries, grows tubby without exercise."

Amen brother! I for one know I feel extra 'fluffy' if I don't get a good workout in.

9. "When carrying a jar of honey to give to a friend for his birthday, don't stop and eat it along the way."

Pooh just gets the embarrassement of buying everyone's Christmas chocolate, hiding it in the wardrobe,  getting it out the wardrobe, eating it, then having to buy it all again.

10. "Mind over matter, will make the Pooh unfatter"

I mean, well yeah! YOU CAN DO IT!

I'm going to end this post with the world's best GIF

p.s. I'm aware not all of these are direct WTP quotes, and yes I may have googled some of the quotes 'cause I'm not that much of an obsessive and know them off the top of my head.
