Food: Pizza Chicken Pasta Bake

Alas, I have a new recipe to share with you today, and I'm pretty bloomin' excited about it if I'm honest.

And, as the lovely Sara says, you can always tell when I'm in the zone if I'm making new recipes. *insert arm flex muscle emoji and sassy girl emoji here*

Pizza Chicken Pasta Bake

I'm not a 100% sure where or how I got the idea for this if I'm honest.

I think it was little bit from seeing the Pizza Burgers on Buzzfeed Twisted (which I totes made Slimming World friendly and loved) and from knowing I had some Muscle Food* chicken in my freezer.

But omg so exciting and all the yum.

Pizza Chicken Pasta Bake

Pizza Chicken Pasta Bake

Serves 4 - 3 syns per portion

4 Chicken Breasts, nicely sliced
1 Onion, finely diced
2-3 Cloves of garlic, crushed
78g of Pepperoni (3 syns per portion)
500g of Passata
3 Peppers (whatever colour you fancy)
1 tsp Spicentice Itallian Herbs*
Drop of Lea&Perins
Enough pasta for 4 people (I'll let you be the judge of that), cooked according to package instructions
180g of Asda 50% Fat Cheese, grated (HEXA per portion)

1) Spray a frying pan with Fry Light and cook the chicken until it's sealed. Don't worry if it's not cooked through at this point. Remove from the pan and leave to one side.
2) Re-spray the pan with Fry Light and pop in your onions, then garlic and then pepperoni.
3) Once the onions have gone translucent and the pepperoni has begun to go crispy, add the passata, Itallian Herbs and Lea&Perins.
4) Then add the peppers and leave to simmer for about 20 minutes. Pre-heat the oven to 200°c.
5) Now, add your chicken and pasta to the pan and make sure everything is nicely mixed. Then transfer it to an oven-proof dish.
6) Top your pasta with the cheese and pop it in the oven for around 25-30minutes until the cheese has melted.
7) Remove from the oven and serve.

  1. This looks delicious! I so wish I had the patient to cook proper home made meals, but since I only really cook for myself I don't bother, but I may give this a shot because it looks too damn good not to :)

  3. How long would this keep in the fridge for? Just started slimming world and things like this would be perfect for a weeks worth of lunches.
