Food: Five Make Ahead Breakfast Ideas

Five Make Ahead Breakfast Ideas

I am the cliche person that goes to bed excited to eat breakfast the next morning #sorrynotsorry

A good breakfast sets me up for the day and stops me turning into a hangry monster before lunch time turns up.

However I don't always have the time to prep a lovely breakfast every morning 'cause ya know, I also love the sleeps.

So today I'm sharing five of my favourite 'make ahead' breakfasts.

For this, I like to mix 250ml of unsweetened Almond Milk with 45g of oats and 15g of Peanut Butter. I then pop it in the fridge overnight. In the morning I pop it in the microwave for about a minute and top with a banana.

I love my French Toast Muffins so much. I eat them at least once a week. I like to freeze bags of berries and eat them once they've defrosted with my muffins and it's just so good!

Baked oats are everywhere at the moment, and to be honest I went through a stage of eating them almost daily. There are plenty of recipes for them, but the way I make them is in the link above.

I love a good scramble, I find them can keep me going for ages. On a Sunday I make a huge portion, let it cool then pop it in the microwave for a few minutes until it's all heated up. You can pop whatever you want into your scramble, but I tend to use, sweet potato, bacon, mushroom and eggs. To bulk it out I serve it up with a warbie thin or some beans etc.

Ok, this one is for all of those people who are like 'but I don't even like breakfast'. Guys, you need to be eating breakfast. A great think to do is grab a load of fruit, shove it in a sandwich bag then pop it in the freezer. In the morning, grab it, but it in a blender, add milk/yogurt/coconut water/oats/whatever takes your fancy and blend. Simple.

Now please, tell me your fave make ahead breakfasts as I'm also after new inspo. Thanks!
